Peggy Eisenhauer is the founder of Privacy & Information Management Services. She has extensive experience with U.S. and international privacy laws and industry best practices for managing consumer, customer and employee information. She leads the PIMS Operational Solutions Working Group, a forum that allows privacy leaders to develop tools and methods that solve critical problems faced by CPOs, DPOs and their teams.
Peggy is the 2023 recipient of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Vanguard Award – North America. The Vanguard Awards recognize an IAPP member who has achieved greatness in leadership, knowledge and creativity in the field of privacy and data protection.
In addition to a J.D. with honors from the University of Georgia School of Law, Peggy holds a Master of Science in Information & Computer Science from Georgia Tech. She and her firm are recognized both by Chambers Global: Guide to Leading Business Lawyers and by Chambers USA in the areas of privacy and data security.
Peggy is a member of the IAPP, a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), Chair Emeritus of the CIPP Advisory Board, a member of the Future of Privacy Forum Advisory Board, a Fellow of the Ponemon Institute, and a member of the 501st Legion. She is the author of the case book, A Global Survey of Privacy & Security Enforcement Actions with Recommendations for Reducing Risk (International Association of Privacy Professionals, May 2008). She served as Program Director for The Conference Board’s Council of Chief Privacy Officers (2014-2020), and she previously served as a member of the Nymity Advisory Council and the BNA Privacy Law Advisory Board.
In 2015, she was honored as a “Cybersecurity Trailblazer” by the National Law Journal. She has also been named one of the Top 25 American Privacy Law Consultants by COMPUTERWORLD.
